Venue & Pitch Insight

At Headingley, the pitch gives speed and bounce – it helps fast bowlers at the start, and batters who hit hard later. Bowlers who use seam may control the first few overs, but when batters settle, they score with their hits.

When the lights turn on, the ball swings early. Teams will probably pick many batters plus many seam bowlers.

Conclusion

The Hundred’s third game starts with force for the Northern Superchargers and the Welsh Fire. Harry Brook hits the ball well, and Adil Rashid controls his bowling. The Superchargers appear even and focused. On the other side, Steven Smith but also Jonny Bairstow bring hitting power to the Welsh Fire. The Fire want to get back on track in the competition.

The match will be close. Both teams want an early win to set their pace for the competition. Rashid may show his spin skill, or Bairstow may hit big. Fans should watch this game.
